Responsible power

Most data centres sit on the grid and wait. Ours flex with grid needs.

In cooperation with local energy companies, we couple each campus to clean energy generation and on-site storage with heat recovery — faster power-on, real resilience, low PUE, lower effective energy cost, and a facility that supports the grid instead of straining it.

Renewable power -firm and clean wind and hydro power

We seek to source our energy from additional new renewable powere sources where possile, from local wind farms. Coupled with the on-campus BESS, it provides for the best optimization of total energy cost.

We combine wind power with Nordic hydro power to firm up energy supply profiles, as it provides the flat, 24/7 baseload and near-zero-carbon power production and it carries real system inertia.

Coupled with the on-campus BESS, this combinationit provides for the best optimization of total energy cost and offers the combined profile intermittent sources cannot cover alone and meets what AI training and inference actually draw.

Battery energy storage systems (BESS)— grid optimization and revenue source

On-site BESS firms and shapes the load, provides ride-through that reduces reliance on fossil backup, shaves peaks, and lets compute capacity be sized ahead of the grid connection expansion. Idle capacity earns revenue in frequency, intra- and day-ahead markets.

Grid-interactive by design

Every campus can be engineered to flex — curtailing or shifting load and returning reserves during scarcity. That makes the facility an asset to the grid rather than a drain as well as aligns with the conditional connection frameworks Nordic operators now favour.

Excess heat as an asset

Direct-to-chip liquid cooling recovers high-grade heat that we export to local district heating — turning a by-product into a genuine community benefit, sized realistically against local demand.

What "responsible" means here

An asset to the grid, not a drain on it.

A large AI load can strain a local network for years. Ours is built to do the opposite: pair clean firm hydro and variable wind with battery storage instead of fossil backup, flex with the system during scarcity, and return recovered heat to the community.

Because generation and storage are within the local energy companyäs control, we can bring compute online without waiting on the full grid build-out, utilizing conditional grid connections — and without stranding scarce grid capacity others need. The result is faster power-on, genuine resilience, and a lower, more predictable effective energy cost — engineered in, not bolted on.
